Dear Delegates and Staff Advisers,
On behalf of the Secretariat of the Cedarbrae C.I. Model United Nations Conference (CCIMUN), it is our pleasure to invite your school to participate in our Model UN held at Cedarbrae CI on Friday, April 24th, 2015. The conference will consist of an opening ceremony, followed by sessions of productive debate and ending with a closing/awards ceremony. CCIMUN will provide participants with an opportunity to explore contemporary challenges our world faces through debating and proposing of solutions from the point of view of an assigned country, while gaining an awareness of international relations. Our Secretariat consists of experienced Model UN delegates from Cedarbrae C.I. CCIMUN will offer delegates nine committees including: COP 2015, Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (French and English), United Nations Security Council, WHO, Harry Potter, and Dr. Who. All committees will have an interactive “crisis” aspect – topics may develop according to “press releases” and delegates will be expected to respond using their ingenuity and country’s resources.
Our registration process is intended to be as simple as possible. The registration forms mailed to your school is available on our website https://sites.google.com/site/ccimunconference/home. In addition to conference information and resources, faculty advisors may retrieve the forms online and email a complete list of committee/country preferences per delegate on the school registration form to [email protected]. Registration for the conference is now open. The cost is $35 CAD per delegate. Lunch is included. Please register and make payments no later than Friday, April 10th, 2015. Position papers will be submitted to respective chairs on the day of the conference in order to be eligible for award. Should you require further information, feel free to email us. We will respond to your message as soon as possible. We look forward to your participation at CCIMUN 2015!
Sincerely,
Secretary General:
